Chama Trails Motel

Very nice for the area! Very clean, comfy, and stylish. Recently updated, comfy beds. Efficient and friendly service from The front desk! But as a solo female traveler I did not feel comfortable that the only “blinds” were shutters with hug gaps that allowed a clear view in from the courtyard/parking area. I covered it with a blanket for the night, but that’s something they should consider fixing. The location is also at the main intersection in Chama, which is convenient, but loud in the morning with large trucks accelerating close by.

Super clean and well cared for family owned motel. Cozy rooms with sweet western decor. Comfortable bed. Dog friendly with a large lot across the street to walk them. Stayed here before taking the Cumbres Toltec narrow gauge train.

We stayed here before and after our snowshoeing trip in southern Colorado, and this place was a perfect 10/10 in every way. The room was incredibly comfortable and spotless, and the customer service was outstanding. The owners are truly amazing—it’s clear they genuinely care about making guests feel welcome and ensuring they have a fantastic experience. They kindly held my work bag while we were out on our trip, and when I accidentally left my headphones behind, they even offered to send them back to me. Their kindness and attention to detail set this place apart. If you're visiting Chama, this is an absolute must-stay!

We met our family in Chama, NM - 1/2 way point. Chama Motel is 4-legged fam friendly. The guys rode the train and really enjoyed a shared family event of nature and beautiful scenery. At Chama Motel we really enjoyed the spacious rooms, sm room frig, nice display of glass water pitcher with glasses, Chama mugs for Keurig coffee or tea. Walk in shower and courtesy bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is shared guest services washer and dryer. Customer service was friendly and awesome. Two memorable moments of customer service - one being recognized with a friendly smile and brief acknowledgement in Pagoda Springs Park and another, housekeeping taking a moment out of her busy day to assist me with a smile. Glad we bought a souvenir to remember our lovely experience more often. Both parties had a memorable experience - awesome place to stay and we miss ya’ll. Hope to visit again soon.

Definitely will stay here again! Cozy, clean well equipped rooms. Bed was very comfortable! Bathroom was updated with newer tile. Wood ceiling. Love this hotel!

This little motel was super welcoming and our pet was even welcomed. They accommodated us at the last minute. Everything was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here next I’m through Chama.

We had such a lovely stay here at the Chama Trail Motel! Beautiful, clean rooms and a good stop on your way to somewhere. Will definitely be staying again.

Rooms have been recently updated. It was clean, and nice decor. Light sleepers need to stay away from the 2 story area. You will hear everything happening in the room above and every step up and down the stairs.
